Road To Shine

Road To Shine is an innovation program that bridges young, engineering talents in India with leading Hiroshima industries. Together, they consider new trends of digital transformation and global trends in re-imagining and launching new businesses. In 2020, Hiroshima Prefectural Government signed an MoU with T-Hub in Telangana State, to commemorate the commitment towards building an innovation ecostytem across Japan and India.

Satsuma Future Commons

Satsuma Future Commons (SFC) is a hub for a new urban design research and practice. We explore, research, and implement new methods of Circular City Design in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima. In the hub we, Re:public, Inc. research the futures of food, fashion, living spaces, and infrastructures with Kyushu University School of Design. We also run the Civic “Circular” Innovation Lab to empower citizens to make their everyday life more circular and innovative. We cover circularity from a wide scope: from citizens’ everyday life to entrepreneurship and advanced research.

Moment is a trans-local magazine that explores the future of cities from an international and inter-disciplinary lens. The magazine introduces citizen-led transformations of environments and lifestyles that occur based on the reinterpretation of local technologies, resources, and cultures.

Approved for Eruboshi Second-Tier Certification!

On July 6, 2022, Re:public received the "second star" (second tier level) of the "Eruboshi Certification." We have been recognized as a company that has made effective efforts to promote women's advancement in business, in accordance with the Law for the Promotion of Women's Activities. The Eruboshi Certification is a system under which the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare certifies companies that have formulated and submitted a strategic and effective action plan to promote gender equality in across various aspects that pertain to women in business. Evaluations were made based on the following five categories: (1) hiring and recruitment (2) continued employment (3) working hours and work styles (4) ratio of women amongst managers and (5) promoting diverse career paths. The evaluation involves a three stars (three-tiers) accreditation system based on the efforts promised or made per category. We were recognized for excelling in the following categories and were certified as a 2-star Eruboshi company: (1) hiring and recruitment (3) working hours and work styles (4) ratio of women amongst managers and (5) promoting diverse career paths. We are committed to continuing to build a diverse team that priorities advocating for gender equality across all of our business practices.

MOMENT 03 is now in store!

Moment is a trans-local magazine for those who explore the new roles of our cities while working in the intersections of various disciplines and neighborhoods. In our third issue, we feature the theme: "City as a home." Having spent a majority of the year in our houses within our immediate neighborhoods, we reflect on the shrinking confines of our cities. We turn to Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Ogawamachi in Saitama Prefecture, to spur imagination and inspiration on how we can reclaim our neighborhoods and redefine our cities as homes.
