India is home to numerous tech talents, many whom now lead global top tech companies. The country continues to garner attention as a hub for technology, as it continues to birth a number of start-up unicors every year. Given the global pandemic and the rapid transforamtion towards digitalization, many companies face an opportunity for change: to digitalize and to collaborate globally. Road To Shine is a testimate to what is possible when collaboration is done globally across multiple sectors and stakeholders.

The program in 2021 was done in 3 phases. The first phase involved Hiroshima companies understanding the possibilities of technologies and defining their vision for the future of their business. The second involved selected engineers in India learning how to incporate a human centered perspective in developing technology products and services. Finally, in the third phase, the industries and engineers were paired to generate ideas and prototypes for new business products and services.

From dairy production, media, infrastructure management, to human resource management, many themes in a variety of different sectors were explored throughout the program. Look out for the possibilities for innovation driven by this collaboration between Hiroshima and India.
